After you purchase your pedal boat rental, you will get an email confirming your reservation. We will also let you know where to park and suggest what to bring for your trip.
We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your reservation to ensure you can find parking and locate our dock.
When you arrive at Eco Boat Rentals, our team will check you in and provide you with life jackets. Then they will show you how to operate the boat. They will also go over safety and map instructions with you. After that, you can begin your adventure on the water!
Head out on a pedal boat journey to America’s Cup Harbor, Harbor Island, and Liberty Station. You will get to witness sea lions and birds in their natural habitat. One of the best activities we’ve done in San Diego! We booked a 2 hour pedal boat ride, and thought it may be too much time, but it was actually almost too short. We had a great time on the water. The best part for us is our dogs could join us, and they even provide life vests for the pups. (Bring a towel for hot days for them to sit on, as the vinyl seats in the front and back really heat up in the sun.) They are good sized pedal boats with plenty of room, equipped with human life vests behind the seats, a map displayed in the front of the boat, and feel pretty stable on the water. I’m prone to motion sickness, but had no trouble at all while we pedaled around. This is definitely an activity we would recommend and plan to book again when we are back in the area.

My friends and I rented 5 boats to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was so fun! The staff are genuine, sincere, kind, happy and hardworking. We all had a blast, cruising along enjoying the gorgeous San Diego weather and sights. We only rented for 1 hour, but I would highly recommend two hours instead. Out of the 5 boats, my boat was the first to return so I hung out on the dock waiting for my friends to come back. While I was waiting, I was surprised at how hard working the staff was at cleaning and sanitizing the boat after each use. I felt so much better knowing that our whole group was safe.

We had a wonderful experience. I went with my husband and 2 kids and had a blast. Simone who was there to assist us was pleasant and really helpful with anything we needed. The kids were provided with life jackets and we had jackets on the boat in case we needed them. The paddle boats were relatively easy to navigate and there was a speaker they provided to set the vibe. Theres a map on the boat to guide on the water as well. We saw a sea lion up close on our travels which was amazing!! We’ll definitely be coming back! 🙂
